Thierry Rolland, Phil.Handley and Gavin Slavin has hung up the bathers and running shoes to focus on their riding through the winter months.

This week end just gone saw the 3 amigo’s racing over 3 days,

Day 1 wet cold day at Stratford with stong cycling from all 3

Day 2 Yinnar 10am foggy cold Individual Time trial 5km, Out came the Tri bars and disc wheels, a good feeling for triathletes. Good times from all three riders. 1pm saw the riders ditch the tri bars again and back to cycle racing, all riders raced well, one small problem was when Phil went to sit down he noticed that his seat had come off, he managed to repair it and finish the race Gavin and Thierry racing in B grade finished well with Gavin coming 4th in the final spint over the line.

Day 3 The hills of Drouin. The French Mountain goat was dying to climb some hills. Phil pushed the pace in C grade to finish strong. The sprint finish was in front of the Robin Hood Hotel in Drouin. Presentations and lunch and a few ales made the 3 day Tour complete. We done to the Bass Coast Barracud’a

Saturday 2/6/20007 at Pound Creek saw another Barracuda victory at the Leongatha Cycling race at Pound Creek with Thierry Rolland taking out his 2nd win for the year. He then proceeded to smash myself and the rest of the Sunday crew up the Woolamai Hill the following morning , hopefully he’s peaking in time for the World long course Championships in France in a months time. Anyone wishing to join us for a Sunday ride just meet at the Cape Paterson store at 7.00am Sunday . We also have a group go from the Wonthaggi Swimming Pool 9.00 am on Tuesdays . All are welcome as you can see we always regroup at the top of the hills ! 3 of the crew  Philthy , Frenchy and Gav will ride the 3 days tour this weekend , good luck guys.
