  1. Thank you for your comments and we will take this on board. We have had a lot of trouble getting a safe run and preventing crossing of bikes and runners . The original course in fact would have been 4km as advertised and 7.5km. We took out the turn to the right out of transition at a vey late stage and unfortunately the turn on to the beach track was well short of where it was mapped and the run was much shorter than intended.
We will try and to get closer to what we have advertised , however we have no intention of going to “standardised” distances as we believe the non standard nature if our races keep it unique .
We have tossed around various options re start times , doing only a short race in January and a long race in March but there are always different opinions , and some people will have to wait however we do it and the fast always wait for the slow. An earlier start time may be an option now we have to moved to mainly online entries .
Unfortunately our comments are attached to the 2011 race and not the 2012 one .
    Regards
    Rick

  2. Overall I’d like to say it was a very friendly and informal event, which is what I love about country triathlons.

The run leg came up well short of the advertised 4km. Even on a good day my 7:40 run split would not see me covering 2km. People train for these distances. Being a couple of hundred metres out is acceptable, but being 2km out is not.

If you want people to support your events then at least provide what you have advertised.

Another suggestion would be to bring the starting time forward 30 minutes to 9am before it gets too hot for the long course competitors and also drags out the presentation time.
