The 2017 Dune2Dune triathlon at Cape Paterson will take place on 8th January 2017 . The race will again run with 2 events a sprint format 600m/20k/3.6 km and the longer near Olympic distance 1.2km/40k/9.6km.The swim take place in the usual tranquil waters of the DSC_1760Cape Bay affront the Wonthaggi Life saving club , who provide the water safety for the race . In the longer distance event the swim features the run across the sand to the second lap ( similar to ITU events ) sapping legs but a great boon for spectators . The bike course takes in the scenic coastal route between Cape Paterson and Inverloch . The run meanders in to the housing estate before coming back along the coastal tracks of Cape Paterson then finally the famous finish , down the boat ramp and on to the sand and finally up into the ampitheatre in front of the Life Saving Club. Coined by Luke Whitmore as the best triathlon in the state and supported regularly by Monty Frankish , Amanda Wilson and Magnus Michelsson . Don’t miss out on this iconic race .

Entries will close on the 6th January ( Friday night before the race on Sunday . On the day entries will attract a  $20 late fee.

Entry is $ 70 for short course and $ 80 for the long course .
